Awhi and nourish the moemoeā of community leaders, weaving collective capacity and hinengaro hauora.

Moemoeā is guided by maramataka, grounded in tikanga, and grown through hāpori. It is steered by systems innovator and creative, Tuihana Ohia.

Podcast

The first iteration of Moemoeā, a podcast, platforms Māori innovators passionate about social change, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Each episode delves into the unique aspirations that define us, exploring how culture, whakapapa, and identity shape our dreams for the future. Sharing stories of resilience and innovation, the Moemoeā podcast sparks passionate korerō and the pursuit of aspirations for future generations.

Building off the momentum of the podcasts, Moemoeā Kōrero sessions were created. One-hour online kōrero with community innovators facilitated by Tuihana Ohia.

Kōrero Sessions are an opportunity to engage with guests who have broad experience in social innovation. Each session offers its own unique insights into systems navigation and change.

Some episodes have been recorded and accompanied by essays, which you can find on our Wellsphere Te Manahau platform.

KAITAHI

Around the time of Matariki, we gathered for the first Moemoeā Kaitahi.

It was a chilly Thursday in late July. Te Ngāhere opened their doors for a rōpū of curious-minded community leaders who share our craving for hāpori and systems change – te manawa o te “Moemoeā” tēnei. This is the heart of Moemoeā.

Our intention was āta-whakarongo, to listen deeply to what was said, and unsaid. The evening was captured by the wonderful live illustrator Dave Wood and facilitated by Tuihana Ohia.
